July 2nd, 2001 was the first day Regina was put in our arms! Wow seven years ago, time has really gone by quickly! We celebrated by shopping (of course getting gotcha day presents) and out to lunch. Our friends and neighbors invited us over for a wonderful dinner. It was really a nice time.
Some people call the first day their child is put in their arms "Gotcha Day", we like to call it "Family Day" because that was the first day we were a family of three!
When we were in China I made up a song and sang it to Regina when she was a baby, when she got older she didn't want me to sing it :( but this year she loved it!!

there was a little girl who needed a mommy and a daddy
so her mommy and her daddy went to get her and bring her home to Colorado
and her name is Regina Ya Xuan
and her mommy and her daddy love her very very much!
