CCAI

I went to CCAI (our adoption agency) yesterday to drop off our LOA and some travel documents. It's not a short drive it took me over an hour in Denver traffic to get there. I really wanted to meet the women in the WC dept.! It was nice to put a face with a name! They were so excited to meet me and so nice. These women have a HUGE job. I have a lot of respect for them. They were grateful I have faith in them and the program.It was fun to see THE office where all the excitement takes place. We took pictures in front of the China map BUT they didn't have a red ball next to Anyang Henan yet so in honor of my visit they put one in to mark where Janae (and others) are from! I also had one taken pointing to where Regina is from YueYang Hunan. I'm so happy I made the trip! Now hopefully our TA will come in the next couple of weeks so we can be there to celebrate Janae's birthday!

LOA

We received LOA today!!! LOA is a letter from China telling us we have been accepted to be Janae's MaMa and BaBa!! We hope to travel in 5 to 6 weeks and be there for her 3rd birthday on March the 10th!! We are going to China!

Family visit

We had a house full over the New Year week. At one time there was 10 of us! My Mom turned 80 so my sister, her daughter, my brother and his family and of course my Mom were all here! We had a blast, ate good food (thanks to my hubby, he's the best) drank way to much good wine and visited. Regina had a blast with her cousins she loves them so much it was sad when they left. I mailed Janae's first care package today! I hope she gets it so she sees who's coming to get her in a few months. I will put pictures of it up as soon as I down load them!

We just received PA about an hour ago which means we are able to announce the wonderful news of our new daughter to the world!

she is the most precious little one ever and I can't wait to kiss those beautiful lips and hug her tight!!!

We hope to travel by March 2009 to get her.

This is one of the best Christmas presents ever!!

Good News, not such good news......

The Good news is we got our I171H in the mail last week, we had been waiting 3 months! This is a piece of paper saying from our government to the Chinese government we pass for adopting a child. This is the second time we have had to go through this in this journey. This is really taking a long time.........
I think the closer we get to match the harder the wait because I wait for the %?%? phone to ring everyday, its like living in limbo. I really try hard not to go there but sometimes it just happens. I'm so happy Regina is off this week so she will keep me busy and my mind off of this.
I just got an email from the adoption agency and she said they are up to Oct. 07 and we are Nov 07 so yes we are getting closer but I had hoped it would be sooner than later........I know I know it will happen when its suppose to..................................
Nick and I both felt we would know by Thanksgiving, oh well.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! WE HAVE SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR!!
